Golden
Rule #9
Flax your Body!
The number
one choice on my list for adding lipids to my nutrition is
flax seed oil. I very strongly recommend adding this to everyone's
diet. This oil is very rich in omega 3 and is in my opinion
the single most missing nutrient in todays nutrition. Deficiency
in this results in a host of seemingly unrelated and harmless
problems, until it progresses. Flax seed oil is easy to handle
and very versatile.
In the
old days, we used to use cod liver oil. This has a very similar
effect to flax as the composition is not that far removed.
Look at any culture that has a dominant food source rich in
linolenic acid such as cod or salmon, health related problems
such as heart diseases and cancers are virtually non existent,
hmmm I wonder why?
So what,
how much flax seed oil.......
An average
teaspoon is 5 grams of oil. At 9 calories per gram, that is
a mere 45 calories per tsp., you have spent that at rest just
reading this article so far. Happy flaxing!
